The Island Lake Conservation Area is located in Orangeville and Mono, Ontario and features 332 hectares of lake, wetland, forest and meadows. The Island Lake Conservation Area plays an important ecological role in protecting the headwaters of the Credit and Nottawasaga Rivers. The conservation area is open all year and offers numerous recreational opportunities.
Credit Lake Park was developed in the early 1990s and can be found on Lakeview Court. The Island Lake Conservation Area is adjoined to the park.
Alexandra Park is situated at Second Street and First Avenue. The park opened in 1903 and was named after Queen Alexandra, consort of King Edward VII who had succeeded his mother Queen Victoria in January of 1901. The park features the Dufferin County War memorial, the town's cenotaph, a bandshell, a farmers' market, and a veterans memorial honouring those who served and returned from World War I, World War II, and the Korean War.
Kay Cee Gardens can be found between Bythia Street and John Street in Orangeville, ON. The park has a bridge, gazebo, pergola and playground equipment.
This local park received its name from its marshland that is inhabited and known for its dragonflies. The Headwaters Carving Club completed a nature pole which illustrates the natural wildlife in the area and incorporates a dragonfly.
